This approach often leads to a relationship based on <strong>control<\/strong>, thus fostering <strong>confrontation<\/strong>. However, for a child, today&#8217;s submission can become tomorrow&#8217;s rebellion. Developing a relationship based on <strong>connection, collaboration, and responsibility<\/strong> IS possible, and I can help you achieve it!<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Children are Needy by Design!<\/h3>\n<p>The consistency with which you respond to your child&#8217;s needs determines the nature of their <strong>attachment<\/strong> to you, and consequently the levels of trust, complicity, and collaboration you can expect from them. Thus, although it may seem paradoxical, autonomy is first acquired through a <strong>high level of dependence<\/strong> and co-regulation in early childhood.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Secure:<\/strong> positive responses \u2014 trust and autonomy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Anxious:<\/strong> uneven or overprotective responses \u2014 fears and dependency.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Avoidant:<\/strong> neglectful responses \u2014 protection through independence.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Disorganized:<\/strong> contradictory responses \u2014 unpredictable behaviors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From birth to age 8, children rely on you to regulate their emotions and learn by observing. <strong>Co-regulation is key<\/strong> to  building their security, confidence, and autonomy. The <strong>struggle to regulate<\/strong> and the desire to meet needs are often behind &#8220;bad&#8221; behaviors.
