A reiki session can bring many benefits.
Firstly, Reiki is an energy of reconnection and harmonization; facilitating well-being, balance and awareness. By imposition of the practitioner’s hands; a Reiki care therefore aims to harmonize the 3 dimensions of your being; the body, the mind, and the soul (emotional). In addition, it can nurture your body’s self-healing capabilities, and increase your level of consciousness.
Reiki can calm your mind, soothe your nervous system, and relieve tensions and pain. It’s comforting effect may also help to appease heavy emotions. This combination of calm and comfort may help to facilitate your awareness and personal growth. This body-mind-soul interaction is possible through your chakras system; the « energy » organs of the human body.
Reiki energy “knows” the person’s needs and will work accordingly. It is pure “unconditional” love! Therefore, it does not need to be forced to meet certain expectations. The only intention practitioners should have is to channel it and allow to be guided by it. The most impactful experiences happen when we allow the process to flow!
A Reiki session can help to:
- Calm your mind.
- Reduce stress and anxiety.
- Appease and release emotional tension.
- Reduce pain and ease relaxation.
- Recharge your energy levels.
- Revitalize your body and nervous system.
- Boost calmness and presence.

An Overall Sense of Wellness
Reiki is a soothing energy that promotes well-being, balance, and resilience. Transmitted by hands-on or remotely, it calms the mind and nervous system, relieves tension and pain, releases heavy emotions and facilitates awareness and personal growth.
Reiki works in harmony with each person’s physical, mental, and emotional needs. There’s no need to force a result: the energy brings what is right in the present moment. However, being mindful of your needs before the treatment can enhance the experience.
Enhancing Your Path to More Balance! reiki Care in Victoriaville
The power to heal resides within each of us. However, Reiki can awaken this potential and support its process by providing energy, calm, and comfort. It can thus become a valuable ally on a personal journey — as it has been for me since my initiation in 2001.
Being an holistic approach, Reiki can also help connect the dots between emotions and physical ailments. However, it does not replace medical or psychological treatments. I refer to other health professionals as needed.
Hands-on Reiki session
Traditionally, the treatment is given on a table, by laying hands on different areas of the body (except for intimate parts) in connection with the chakras. You remain clothed, covered with a blanket, and comfortably installed.
Remote Reiki session
Energy is also transmitted effectively over distance. Thanks to videoconferencing, we stay in touch, and I channel the energy as if I were there with you. This does not change the transmission or what I can pick up energetically.
Reiki session for children
Children are highly receptive and quickly benefit from the effects of Reiki. The treatment lasts 15 minutes for children aged 0-5, and 20 to 30 minutes for children aged 5-12. It can also be done remotely; very practical with babies.

reiki session History of the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki
It was in Japan, around 1890, that Reiki was rediscovered by Mikao Usui in old Buddhist scrolls; after several years of research. That gave him the knowledge, but not the power to heal. Looking for answers; he went for a 21-days meditation on Mount Kurama. At the very last day; he had a transcending experience where he felt connected to that sacred energy.
Running down the mountain with enthusiasm; he scraped his toe and started bleeding. He proceeded to wrap his toe with his hands. After a few minutes, the pain was gone and the bleeding had stopped. Now having the capacity to heal and soothe with his hands; he went on to test it on other people. After that, he started giving reiki session to people in a homeless camp.
Then, after a few years; he realized that treating the mind was as important as treating the body. He then decided to go and share his reiki method and teachings from village to village. This brought him followers which he later trained.
Master Hayashi
Among those followers was Chujiro Hayashi; a former medical officer in the Japanese Navy. Before Usui’s passing, he chose Hayashi to become the next Grand Master of the lineage. Hayashi had set up a school clinic in Kyoto. Over time, he observed varying intentions and levels of devotion amongst students. That brought him to split Reiki into 3 levels of learning.
Master Takata
One day, a woman named Hawayo Takata came to Japan from Hawaii to undergo surgery for a gallbladder tumor. However, an insisting inner voice kept telling her there was another alternative possible. She was guided towards Hayashi’s clinic. After several reiki session, Ms. Takata was completely healed and became, with a little insistence and perseverance, the first woman to be introduced to the Reiki. Over time, Hayashi could only recognize her devotion, and accepted to train her.
After a year of training, Takata went back to her home in Kauai (Hawaii) to set up her clinic and training center. This is when Reiki started to get international attention. In 1940, as rumors of war were spreading, Hayashi wanted no part in it. He felt it was time to pass the torch. He gathered his masters an asked Takata to become the next Grand Master.
Master Furomoto reiki session
Master Takata devoted herself to Reiki until her death in 1980; not without having passed the torch to her granddaughter Phyllis Lei Furomoto. However, feeling too overwhelmed by the task at hand and the number of people to oversee; she chose her colleague Paul Mitchell as head of discipline.
Master Furomoto was the instigator of the Reiki Alliance (which I am a member of); an international community bringing together Reiki teachers around the world. The goal was to preserve the foundations and supervise the practice and teachings of Reiki. She died in 2019.
Master Reindl reiki session
The current Grand Master and bearer of the lineage since 2021 is Johannes Reindl, with Paul Mitchell still acting as head of discipline.
Memory of the soul
Through the course of your life, and past lives, you get to experience different life situations; some plaisant, some traumatic. These experiences allow your soul to learn and grow by creating itself a memory containing your acquired knowledge and wisdom.
That memory is reflected in all of your subtle bodies, which is then reflected in who you are; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
And so, when trauma (fear, sorrow, anger, etc.) happens, your brain attempts to limit the dammages. First, by trying to make you forget about the pain you might have felt. And then, by creating mental coping mechanisms to prevent further experiencing the same trauma.
